Where it began

BeyondLocal was born from a simple truth: Vietnamese designers were producing some of Southeast Asia's most beautiful clothing — silk hand-dyed in Hội An, linen cut with quiet precision in Hà Nội — yet almost none of it was reaching Singapore's wardrobes.

We started as a small buying trip. One suitcase, a handful of artisan contacts, and a belief that the gap between Vietnam's ateliers and Singapore's market was a distance worth crossing.
